Monthly
A flat monthly plan (Free / Pro / Team) with a hard concurrency cap — no overage. Add extra
shared-pool capacity as a card-billed add-on.
Pay per use
Metered by the hour per active workspace, drawn from a prepaid wallet that never expires. Idle
costs nothing.
The base workspace
Every workspace starts from a fixed base image and bills from there:
The base is the same in both billing modes. Extra CPU, RAM, and disk are layered
on top as add-ons (see Add-ons).
The base sizes are configured per deployment. Self-hosted operators can tune them (for example,
raising the Web IDE disk on cloud clusters) — the numbers above are the defaults.
Which mode should I pick?
Choose Monthly if…
You want a predictable bill and a known concurrency ceiling, and you run workspaces regularly.
Choose Pay-per-use if…
Your usage is bursty. You only pay for the hours a workspace actually runs, with no seats and no
monthly minimum.
What you’re charged for
- Compute — the workspace itself (base + any extra vCPU/RAM). Flat monthly on a plan; metered by the hour on pay-per-use.
- Storage add-ons — optional backup storage & log retention (0.50/GiB), deducted from the wallet and renewed monthly.
- Seats (Enterprise/metered only) — a small per-active-seat fee.
Before any charge — subscribing, switching, funding your wallet, enabling backup, or buying pool
capacity — you must accept the Terms & Conditions, which acknowledge the base-image specs. See
Terms.
